Ranganathan's Five Laws:
Books are for use.
Books are for all; or Every reader his book.
Every book its reader.
Save the time of the reader.
A library is a growing organism.
I'm playing around at Shelfari, LibraryThing, and Good Reads. I've set up links to my pages on these sites. And, yes, I have a hard time keeping up-to-date on these sites...
I've set up "shelves" from these sites on Overbooked - here
Overbooked is spacing out: Myspace: Overbooked and Crime Space - and, facing out: Facebook profile.

Overbooked specializes in providing timely information about fiction (all genres) and readable nonfiction. Overbooked has been online since 1994.
Overbooked is the winner of the 2008 Louis Shores - Greenwood Publishing Award: to recognize excellence in book reviewing and other media for libraries. The award recipient is selected for significant achievement related to a reviewing process that helps librarians make selection decisions.

Resa AKA the dairy queen:
We share extreme INTJishness and are both quite fond of: good food and drink, animals, libraries, books, music, the beach, and assorted goofy stuff. We made it through library school by eating sushi and drinking saki. Boiled peanuts and chicago style hot dogs were also occasionally part of our balanced grad school diet, not to mention any food product containing tortillas, cheese and cilantro. She has a wicked sense of humor and does the best rants of anyone I know. She is almost as pale as I am and talks almost as fast. And, she has actually read Tobias Smollett. She is also fond of watching the Cartoon Network - Courage the Cowardly Dog is a favorite.
More longterm associates: College - Louie. Middle School & High School - Cherisse, Alison.
Richmonders inlcude: Paula, Zandra, Deron & Bridget, Mike & Jo, Allen & Rena
Beach Associates: Resa and Quatro, Beth, Lloyd (not in photo) and Bitty the Doodle, Paula (not pictured)

Chambers family & Mike : Carol, Jay, Ann, Mike, Willa
Ok, Resa looks more like my sister Carol than I do. Not that you could tell from this picture. Carol is a wildlife biologist teaching at Northern Arizona State. She spends much of her free time hiking the Grand Canyon. My father (Jay) was head of Psychological Services at the College of William and Mary for a number of years. He is still actively engaged in research. Check out his web site - Motivation Analysis. He is a jazzy kind of guy - especially fond of Sam Most. Mike is an analyst for the VA DSS. He is an all around nice guy. I'm very lucky to have him. Even if he does like Joe Cocker.Carol has brought Bill into our family. We think he is quite cool and are pleased they have found each other. Check out their wedding info .
Information about my mother may be found on the web page featuring Photographs by Willa Chambers. These photos are placed online by our family in memory of my mother. These photos are not her best work, but they are the photos that worked best online.
Ibis Chambers:
When my father married Ibis, our family grew to include four stepbrothers and a stepsister as well as their families. Ibis is an exceptional person. We are fortunate that she has become an important part of our lives.Mike's family:
includes his sisters Linda and Rose Marie (AKA Rory). Embarrassing pictures of Mike, Linda, Rory, Carol and me dating from the 1970's will be posted in the near future. Maybe.Well, as threatened - here is a photo from 1976: Linda, Mike and Carol are on the sofa. Rory's head, me and my father's leg are on the lower part of the photo.
